Lacrosse is one of the
fastest growing sports in the U.S.A. today. However, the sport is largely
untapped by the citizens of its cities. Due to its false sterotype as an elitist
sport, lacrosse has lacked the attention of diverse urban populations. Due to
city space limitations, lacrosse fields and goals are usually unavailable. Because of socio-economic barriers in parts of the city, not everyone who wants to play lacrosse can.
The
goal of Lax and the City is to promote all things lacrosse and open up the sport
to those in New York City.
(Note: As I live in New York City, most of my articles will address lacrosse news and issues in New York. However, the tips in my articles are relevant to and can be used by lacrosse players in any city around the world.)
Resources Found On This Blog:
- Tips that equip urban lacrosse players to play and practice in the city.
- Opinions on lacrosse related issues.

- New York City lacrosse news (Long Island Lizzards, local leagues/camps, Meetups, etc.)

Lax on, my friends!
Sincerely,
Serenity
